The Care Center is committed to serving students on campus that have been impacted by interpersonal violence through our trauma-informed and healing centered advocacy. Due to the nature of the services we offer, we witness firsthand the adverse effects trauma can have on the mind, body, and spirit. There is no one size fits all solution; however, everyone has an innate capacity to heal.
The Student's Guide to Radical Healing zine is a resource that gives information on trauma, offers an introduction to different healing modalities and tools as well as how to access them.
Released in 2020, Student’s Guide to Radical Healing Volume One introduces trauma and healing, followed by a choose-your-own-journey style guide to different healing modalities. Also included in the zine are further readings on trauma, a self care assessment, as well as a list of healing media content.
Read Volume OneThe most recent issue, Student’s Guide to Radical Healing Volume Two was made in collaboration with Student Diversity & Social Justice to highlight various identity-specific traumas and healing practices. Read on to learn how to identify your needs and explore different tools for healing, as well as a special photo story from Emmanuel Muñoz.
