Experiencing, and/or fear of experiencing discrimination, violence, and intimidation directed at ethno-racial minority groups stemming from oppressive laws, policies, and practices.

- Find a local community offering mental health services and/or a safe space, and seek out providers for trauma informed care

3. Intergenerational Trauma26:
The emotional and psychological trauma that is transmitted across generations, especially to individuals who have migrated from Latinx countries to the United States or Canada due to legacies of migration-related stresses, political violence, and colonialism.

- Find local community organization(s) offering mental health services
- Focus on providing intergenerational care to parents and children to avoid passing on traumatic beliefs - Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Family Play Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, etc.
